Clueso raises $10m Series A for agentic business video platform

The San Francisco startup, backed by Dharana Capital and Y Combinator, counts Atlassian and Zendesk among 1,000-plus enterprise customers.

Clueso, an agentic video creation platform targeting enterprise teams, has closed a $10 million Series A led by Dharana Capital, with Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joining as new investors. Y Combinator and f7 Ventures also participated, with the company noting that more than 80% of the new capital came from existing investors increasing their positions. Total funding now stands at $12 million.

The round arrives as Clueso reports strong early commercial traction: customer numbers tripled over the past year, and the company says annual revenues are approaching eight figures. Named customers include Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight, Seismic and Ironclad, covering use cases from product education and customer onboarding through to sales enablement and internal training.

How the platform works

Clueso's approach differs from text-to-video consumer tools. Rather than generating synthetic footage from a prompt, its agents connect directly to a company's software environment, navigate real product workflows, capture screen footage, write a script, generate voiceover and motion graphics, and edit the finished video. When an underlying product or process changes, the platform can rerun the workflow and refresh the content automatically, addressing one of the most persistent pain points in enterprise video production: maintenance.

Garrett Marttinen, Head of Customer Learning at Atlassian, said the platform has "fundamentally simplified" how his team produces learning videos at scale, turning rough input into polished, on-brand output while reducing the burden of ongoing maintenance. Zendesk's Kevin Gross, Senior Manager of Instructional Design, said Clueso has helped reduce production time and expand video output by automatically transforming product knowledge into finished learning content.

The company was founded by Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash and Neel Balar, who encountered the same production bottleneck at a previous venture. Anand, CEO, said the platform now functions as an AI video production team that any team across an organisation can call on, covering creation, editing and ongoing maintenance as the business evolves.

Market context and competitive landscape

The enterprise video-production software market sits at the intersection of AI-generated media and workflow automation, a pairing that has attracted a range of well-funded competitors. Established screen-capture and tutorial tools have added AI editing layers, while newer entrants are building agent-first architectures similar to Clueso's. The key differentiator Clueso is staking its position on is contextual continuity: agents that understand a company's brand guidelines, product state and organisational knowledge, rather than producing one-shot synthetic outputs.

That positioning is relevant as enterprises grapple with video content debt. Marketing, enablement, onboarding and training libraries accumulate rapidly, and the cost of keeping them current through traditional production workflows is non-trivial. The reported 5x productivity gains and 80% reduction in production costs cited by customers are the metrics buyers in this space care about most, though The Datatech Times notes these figures come from Clueso's own release and have not been independently verified.

Clueso's platform also supports integrations with third-party systems and has published a Model Context Protocol connector, allowing AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to create and manage videos directly through the platform, a sign the company is positioning itself within the broader agentic tooling ecosystem.

What comes next

Proceeds from the Series A will fund enterprise go-to-market expansion, deeper agentic capabilities, broader editing functionality, and tighter integrations with the product and knowledge systems where companies already store their source material. The long-term product direction, as stated by the company, is to push more production mechanics to agents while keeping human creative decisions at the centre.

The growth trajectory, high reinvestment rate from existing backers, and the presence of named enterprise logos at this stage make Clueso a name to watch as the agentic-software layer continues to expand across enterprise workflows.
