TACTICAAI and NVIDIA team up to scale agentic AI for defence ops

TACTICAAI, the Abu Dhabi-headquartered operational decision-intelligence company, has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to integrate and optimise the Nemotron family of models within its multi-intelligence platform. The deal, unveiled at NVIDIA GTC Berlin on 22 October, is aimed at scaling agentic AI capabilities for defence, government, critical infrastructure and industrial customers across multiple regions.

The company said its modular architecture allowed the NVIDIA integration to be completed within weeks, and that additional NVIDIA models can be incorporated as they become available. TACTICAAI only became an independent company in 2026, having previously existed as part of a broader research structure; it already supports use cases including maritime situational awareness, targeting, mapping and damage assessment.

What the integration covers

The collaboration brings four capability areas into TACTICAAI's operational workflows. First, NVIDIA Nemotron models are being applied to advanced language understanding and reasoning across the platform. Second, TACTICAAI's autonomous agents, which can task sensors and fuse data from multiple sources, are being enhanced using NVIDIA agentic AI tooling. Third, the platform gains video intelligence built on the NVIDIA Metropolis Blueprint for Video Search and Summarisation, enabling natural-language search, contextual alerts and geo-referenced summarisation across live and recorded footage. Fourth, NVIDIA Earth-2 is being used to augment TACTICAAI's existing weather, satellite and geospatial capabilities, with a focus on storm evolution, precipitation intensity and regional environmental downscaling.

The companies also said the underlying compute infrastructure can be deployed closer to operations, including at remote or austere sites, which is a meaningful consideration for defence customers with limited or contested connectivity.

Dr Chaouki Kasmi, co-founder of TACTICAAI, said the collaboration would "accelerate what TACTICAAI already does and deliver even greater capability to customers internationally," characterising the NVIDIA integration as building on an existing data-fusion and agentic AI foundation rather than replacing it.

Market and regulatory context

TACTICAAI operates in a competitive segment that includes established defence-technology integrators alongside a growing cohort of AI-native intelligence vendors. The use of commercial foundation models, such as Nemotron, in sovereign and defence contexts is under increasing regulatory scrutiny globally. Export-control frameworks, particularly US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) rules governing advanced AI and semiconductor technology, are directly relevant: Nemotron models and the GPU compute on which they typically run are subject to licensing conditions that vary by destination country.

The press release also references the UAE President's state visit to Germany in September 2026, during which both governments reaffirmed cooperation on AI and advanced technologies. That geopolitical backdrop is relevant context for TACTICAAI's positioning, given that it is headquartered in Abu Dhabi and has operational partnerships across the Gulf region, Europe and beyond. Buyers and procurement teams in NATO member states will weigh those relationships carefully given current export-control and technology-sharing sensitivities.

TACTICAAI recently signed a separate agreement with Safran.AI for AI-powered space intelligence and command-and-control technology, suggesting the company is actively broadening its partner ecosystem beyond the NVIDIA tie-up. The next milestones investors and customers will watch for are named contract awards, disclosed deployment sites and any independent benchmarking of performance in operational conditions.
