Hexaware joins Anthropic Claude Partner Network in multi-year deal
Hexaware Technologies has announced a multi-year partnership with Anthropic that makes the Mumbai- and Jersey City-headquartered IT services firm a Preferred Partner in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network. The arrangement, disclosed on 8 October 2026, centres on embedding Claude across two of Hexaware's proprietary platforms: Zerovity, its AI-native software engineering environment, and AgentVerse, an agent build-and-governance platform carrying more than 600 pre-built agents.
The deal extends an existing commercial relationship that already includes Hexaware's authorisation to resell Claude via Amazon Bedrock. Under the expanded terms, the two companies will collaborate on go-to-market activity, joint solution development and customer deployments, while Hexaware commits to broadening Claude training across its global delivery workforce. The firm says it has already certified more than 1,100 staff on the model.
The deal
Hexaware is positioning the partnership around two buying patterns. Enterprise clients can either begin with a stated business outcome, drawing on the company's Zero Friction Enterprise offerings that target technical debt, security vulnerabilities, support backlogs and process bottlenecks, or they can connect existing development toolchains directly to the Zerovity harness, which applies token optimisation and pre-built software delivery agents to accelerate pipelines.
Siddharth Dhar, President and Global Head of AI at Hexaware, framed the rationale in commercial terms. "We are putting Claude at the heart of Zerovity and AgentVerse, so our clients reach production results faster, at a cost they can plan around," he said. Vinod Chandran, Hexaware's Chief Operating Officer, added that the Preferred Partner status creates a path from proof-of-value engagements through to production deployment at scale.
Era Sahni, Head of Partnerships for International at Anthropic, noted that IT operations and software engineering represent the highest-concentration deployment areas for Claude in enterprise settings, describing Hexaware's established client trust in those domains as a specific reason for the alliance.
Market context
The enterprise AI services market is rapidly stratifying around model-vendor partnership tiers. Hyperscalers including AWS, Microsoft and Google have built tiered partner programmes for their own model offerings, and Anthropic's Claude Partner Network follows a similar logic: certifying a smaller set of deeply integrated system integrators rather than opening broad reseller arrangements. For Hexaware, NSE-listed and competing against larger peers such as Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies, Preferred Partner status offers a differentiation lever as clients consolidate AI services spending with fewer vendors.
The emphasis on outcome-based pricing, rather than time-and-materials contracts, reflects a broader shift in enterprise technology buying that is pushing IT services firms to absorb more delivery risk in exchange for longer-term, higher-margin engagements. Hexaware's pre-built agent catalogue and certified-staff numbers are intended to signal readiness to take on that risk at scale.
Regulatory read-across
Enterprises in regulated sectors, particularly financial services, healthcare and critical national infrastructure, are increasingly scrutinising AI model provenance and safety documentation before committing to production deployments. Anthropic's positioning as a safety-focused laboratory, with published model cards and an emphasis on interpretability research, is a differentiator in those conversations. However, the EU AI Act's obligations for general-purpose AI models are phasing in across 2026 and 2027, and enterprise buyers in Europe will require their systems-integrator partners to demonstrate compliance documentation alongside technical capability. Hexaware has not yet stated which specific compliance frameworks it will support for European clients operating under the Act's high-risk category requirements, and that detail will become commercially significant as the partnership scales.
