Huntress partners with ALSO to extend cybersecurity reach across Europe
Huntress, the Maryland-based cybersecurity company, has announced a new distribution partnership with ALSO Holding AG that will make its Agentic Security Platform available to managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) across 31 European countries. The deal uses ALSO's pan-European channel network and its ALSO Cloud Marketplace (ACMP) as the primary route to market.
The partnership is framed by Huntress as a channel-scaling move rather than a direct go-to-market expansion. European partners will be able to access, quote, provision and manage Huntress licences through the ACMP, which supports both subscription and consumption billing models. Huntress says the arrangement is designed to lower the operational friction for partners that already work with ALSO's existing Microsoft practice, allowing them to layer managed detection and response capabilities across Microsoft-based customer environments.
Kevin Hallmark, Head of Global Distribution at Huntress, said the company needs "the combination of European scale and local market expertise" that ALSO brings to reach more partners without sacrificing regional support quality. Ana Sánchez, Group Sales Lead Cybersecurity at ALSO, framed the deal as a way to help resellers build scalable managed-security services.
What the platform covers
The Huntress Agentic Security Platform spans endpoint detection and response (EDR), identity threat detection and response (ITDR), security information and event management (SIEM), security awareness training, and security posture management. The platform is backed by a 24/7 security operations centre (SOC) that Huntress describes as AI-centric. The company says it currently monitors more than five million endpoints and 15 million identities globally across more than 100 countries.
ALSO, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, describes itself as Europe's largest technology distributor for the ICT channel, with a reseller ecosystem of more than 140,000 partners and products from over 800 vendors. The ACMP already hosts cloud and cybersecurity offerings from a range of vendors, giving Huntress an established ordering infrastructure rather than one it would need to build independently.
Market context
The European managed-security market is under considerable regulatory pressure that is actively driving channel demand. NIS2, which came into force across EU member states in late 2024, has broadened the set of organisations required to implement incident detection and response capabilities, directly expanding the addressable market for MSP-delivered security services. DORA, applying to financial-sector entities from January 2025, places additional obligations on managed service providers that touch financial-services clients.
Huntress is positioning itself in a segment dominated at the enterprise end by CrowdStrike, SentinelOne and Microsoft Defender, but with growing competition from mid-market-focused vendors including Sophos, WithSecure and Bitdefender. The MSP channel is a particular battleground: distribution partnerships through large pan-European aggregators such as ALSO, Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX are a common route for vendors seeking scale without the cost of building direct regional sales teams.
The ALSO relationship also reflects a broader consolidation of cloud-marketplace purchasing within the MSP community. Partners increasingly prefer platforms that bundle provisioning, billing and usage analytics, reducing the administrative overhead of managing multiple vendor portals. For Huntress, which has grown primarily through direct MSP relationships in North America, embedding within ALSO's established marketplace infrastructure is a structurally different go-to-market motion that will require careful partner enablement to maintain the service-quality standards its brand relies on.
Huntress did not disclose any revenue targets, minimum committed volumes, or the number of ALSO partners it expects to onboard in the near term.
